2025 Audition Information

audition time slots are ALMOST full.

You may alternatively submit a video audition before October 11th at 12:00 p.m.

We are seeking expressive soloists in all voice parts (SATB). Be part of a cherished holiday tradition and help bring this masterpiece to life!

Performance Date:

The performance will take place on Sunday, December 14th at 7:00 p.m. at Viridian Event Center in West Jordan.

Flexible Rehearsal Schedule with Dress Rehearsal on Saturday, December 13th at 9:00 a.m. Viridian Event Center in West Jordan.

Audition Dates:

In-person auditions will be conducted on September 27th and October 11th from 12:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m. Additional times may be added if necessary. You may alternatively submit a video audition before October 11th at 12:00 p.m.

Following auditions, soloists will be selected and announced by October 18th.

Audition Requirements:

• Audition Material: Come prepared to sing from Handel’s Messiah solo selections—arias or recitatives—in a classical or operatic tone. Prepare one or multiple of the selections for your part.

  • Feel free to bring a piano accompanist or your preferred audio backing track, if desired. A bluetooth speaker will be available.

• Audition Length: Each audition will be approximately 10 minutes long.

Audition Scheduling:

Use the scheduling form embedded below. Navigate to the audition date (9/27 or 10/11) or select “Jump to the next available date”. Please choose the earliest available time slot, if possible. Please arrive 10 minutes before your audition time. Once prepared, you may wait in the front lobby until you are called in. • If you are unable to attend an in-person audition, or if in-person audition slots are full, you may submit an audition video before October 11th at 12:00 p.m.

• Upload a video of you playing to YouTube, Google Drive, OneDrive, or another cloud service and send the link to director@westjordansymphony.org, including the following information:

  • First and Last Name

  • Email Address

  • Phone Number

  • Audition Repertoire (Name(s) of Selected Piece)
